The BC Showcase at GE Plaza at Robson Square in downtown Vancouver was the site of today’s BC Media Day, part of the VX Showcase from DigiBC.
British Columbia’s Minister of of Small Business, Technology and Economic Development, the Honourable Iain Black was on hand to welcome journalist to the VX Showcase.
“We have an opportunity within this sector to really put a new stamp on British Columbia’s business climate”
After an introduction from DigiBC’s Michael Bidu, the Minister welcomed the packed BC Showcase crowd to the VX Showcase…

“We’re going to start a sports network, we’re going to run it for 2 weeks during the Olympics, all of our reporters…up to 17 at one point…are going to be equipped only with iPhones, we will report on the Olympics…and we’ll report every single day…and they will never have to return to our office”
